how to fix up proxy settings for Linux-Mint9

In this post I'll show how to set and publish proxy setting for people who uses a local area Internet connection..

I'm going to use screen shots images to make explanation more easier to understand..

you desktop should be in general like what you'll see.

Then you should go and press menu bottom and choose "Control Center".

After scrolling down a little bit, you'll see an Icon which is "Network Proxy", well, you should press that Icon.

A widow will pop up which has all proxy setting that the system needs at time.

Press on "Manual Proxy configuration". Then, type the proxy and port of your network..

you can use "Automatic Proxy Configuration" for exceptions.

Once you finish proxy setting you should use "Apply system-wide" to make sure that the system uses all network connections based on that proxy.

In summary, you should follow: Menu>>Control Center>>Network Proxy>>Type in proxy>> Apply system-Wide.
